Christian Code of Ethics & Policy
Students, faculty members, and administrative employees are responsible for knowing and obeying IAU policies as well as local, state, and federal laws. The list below is an example of behaviors that may result in disciplinary action by IAU and is not all-inclusive. In cases of ambiguity or inconsistency, the final determination is made by designated officials.

Academic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to:
This includes physical abuse, verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, coercion, and other behavior that endangers the health or safety of any person. Examples of prohibited bullying include:
“Defamation” involves publishing a false statement that harms an individual’s reputation.
Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other offensive conduct either sexual in nature or directed at someone because of their gender. This behavior creates a hostile or offensive environment and is not tolerated.

This includes disruption or obstruction of teaching, research, administration, or other USANU activities on or off campus. It covers intentional interference with normal operations and unregistered public demonstrations that disrupt campus functions.
This covers attempted or actual theft, unauthorized use, or damage to USANU property or property of any USANU community member, including intent to vandalize or destroy property.
Unauthorized possession, duplication, or use of keys/access codes or entry into areas of USANU facilities without permission is prohibited.
Failure to comply with directions from USANU officials or law enforcement officers, including failure to provide proof of identity when requested, is a violation.
This section covers abuse or violation of laws regarding controlled substances, alcohol, and other related activities. Prohibited acts include:
Behavior that is disorderly, lewd, or indecent, or that breaches the peace or aids others in doing so, is prohibited on USANU premises or at USANU-sponsored functions.
This includes unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of computing resources and network access. Examples include:
Misusing mobile phone cameras or other recording devices in areas with an expectation of privacy or to compromise academic work or intellectual property rights is prohibited.
Hazing—any act that endangers the mental or physical health of a student or that damages property as a condition for group membership—is strictly forbidden.
Any tampering with fire alarms or firefighting equipment, or failure to evacuate during an alarm, including hindering emergency personnel, is a violation.
This includes violations of other IAU policies, rules, or regulations, such as unauthorized solicitation, creating safety hazards, or any other conduct deemed offensive to the community.
A violation of any local, state, or federal criminal law—or behavior considered a civil offense—may be treated as a violation of the Code of Conduct. IAU reserves the right to involve law enforcement and defer internal action until criminal proceedings are complete. Exoneration from criminal charges does not grant immunity from civil or IAU actions.
